Foraged Wreath Workshop

Well hello there!  As most of you know, we have a bit of snow……more like a foot which is very uncommon for this area.  The last time I remember this much snow, I believe i was 5 years old and it was 1988.  This brings back a funny memory of my mom putting pig tails in my hair, which I seriously hated!!!  When I kept protesting, she threatened to cut my hair short, so she won that time!  After the battle on my hair, we went sledding on the big hill in Paterson and the whole town was there it seemed, I miss the old days where you really felt the feeling of community!  Our goal is to build that sense of community back up in Paterson, I think we all get a little lost in our busy lives, technology and forget that we have neighbors and that we need to gather!

So…..we will be stocking up our calendar with lots of events this year and we hope all of our Paterson neighbors and even neighbors that are not so near, can join in on the fun and get creative right along with us!  We also enjoy giving back to our community so we will be brainstorming some ways to do so, stay tuned!

Now to get back to the title of this blog….Foraged Wreath Workshop!  We are planning way ahead on this one.  This past December, our good friend Dawn, the talented owner of John Loves June Event Rentals & Design hosted a wreath workshop for creatives and it was so great creating evergreen, eucalyptus and curly willow wreaths with new friends.  We all traveled to Dawn’s studio in Pendleton, OR.  Ladies drove from La Grande, Walla Walla and Paterson and we enjoyed coffee, delicious treats made from Sisters Cafe just across the street from the studio.  Shelley K Photography did an amazing job in capturing the details and our masterpieces!  Dawn will be hosting this same event December 9th which is a Saturday.  We will be hosting an event at the farm December 2nd, if there is enough interest we may need to add a second date.

Please take a moment to enjoy Shelley’s art of photography and our wreaths!

It is not all work, we had lots of time to sip on coffee and visit with our new and old friends alike!

It was not all work…..we had lots of time to sip our coffee and chat with new and old friends alike!
