This past Friday we documented our day preparing, working, cleaning and delivering our farm fresh flowers at the Market at the Parkway in Richland, WA. It is lots of work, but we absolutely love seeing all of our lovely weekly customers each Friday!
The preparation begins the day before, Thursday. The flowers are cut and prepped and stored in our cooler. We wake at 5am and start loading the trucks with supplies, flowers and wedding flowers ready to be picked up at market. The goal is to arrive by 7am, however it always seems to be 7:30 when we roll in!
We get our flowers all displayed, tables set with water, clippers, rubber bands, any pre-made bouquets set out etc. Sometimes we have a bit of time to go visit all of our vendor friends such as our next door neighbor, TSP Bakery, which is usually our breakfast! There is delicious homemade root beer/floats/ice cream bars across from us and Phil and Sally’s baked goods, they travel all the way from Milton Freewater. There are so many more great vendors, too many to mention them all! We are so lucky to be a part of The Market at the Parkway.
Checkout the photos below for a sneak peak at what our day looks like!
